The first step to your successful cultivation
In this step-by-step guide, we'll show you how to reliably germinate your hemp seeds. Using simple household items, you can ensure that each seed receives optimal conditions and that strong, healthy plants grow.

Important NOTE:
Hemp is a so-called dark germinator, meaning that germination takes place in the dark. Therefore, it is crucial that the seeds are not exposed to direct light during the germination process.

- Household paper: Soft cloths that absorb water well.
- Water in a container: Clean water, preferably at room temperature.
- Bowl: Small glass bowl to drain excess water.
- Two plates: Flat plates that provide the seeds with a dark and moist environment.

Take the first plate and place several layers of paper towels on it. Then pour water over them until the paper is thoroughly moistened, but avoid standing water. The paper should be damp, but not soaked.

Carefully place the seeds on the moistened paper. Make sure to leave a small gap between each seed so they have enough room to germinate.

Cover the seeds with several layers of dry paper towels. These will absorb the water from the bottom layer of paper, creating a moist, dark environment that is ideal for germination.

Place the second plate on top of the paper layers to protect the seeds from light. Ensure the plates are in a shady spot at room temperature for optimal germination conditions.

The next day, check the moisture content of the paper. If it has dried out, add a little water so that the paper remains slightly damp. Make sure it never dries out completely.

After about two days you should already see the first germinated seeds. These can then be carefully transferred into soil or another growing medium.
