Important note for outdoor cultivation
If the cuttings are planted directly in the garden, they should be kept in partial shade for the first week after delivery. The cuticle , a waxy layer on the epidermis of the plant cells, stabilizes the plant and protects against water loss. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves and cause the cuttings to die.

Ideally, the cuttings should be planted immediately upon receipt. If this isn't possible, they can be stored in the opened packaging for a maximum of one day. Ensure they receive sufficient light and a comfortable temperature.
Tips for safe handling:
- Wash and disinfect your hands before contacting the plants.
- When removing cuttings, grasp them from below , not just lift them by the stem.
- Avoid cold drafts and ensure adequate humidity.

Water for 3-5 seconds to ensure the substrate is thoroughly saturated. Under optimal conditions, it will remain moist for up to three days.
- Empty the collection trays after 20 minutes to prevent root rot.

Upon arrival, the cuttings must be transplanted into larger pots filled with good organic soil . They grow best in bright light and temperatures of 20–24 °C , with a humidity of 60–75% . After 2–4 weeks, the plants will be well-rooted and ready for the flowering stage.
- Outdoor cultivation: Flowering starts automatically from the beginning of August due to the shorter days.

Hemp plants have high water requirements, depending on their size, temperature, and location. A simple indicator is the weight of the pot.
Light conditions greatly influence the plant. To grow, the plants need at least 18 hours of good light per day. Flowering occurs with 12 hours of darkness and 12 hours of light per day.
In outdoor cultivation, the flowering phase is initiated automatically from approximately August 1st to 15th due to the shorter days.

Cuttings will grow in good soil even without fertilizer, but additional nutrients can accelerate growth and increase yield.
- Leaf colors as an indicator:
Lush green = optimally nourished
Light green = nutrient deficiency
Dark/violet = over-fertilization

Harvesting, drying and curing
Good harvest, all is well.
The flowers are harvested when approximately 75% of the flower hairs are brown , with the remainder still white. The plant is cut close to the base, and large leaves are removed to reduce the surface area for evaporation and accelerate the drying process.

Drying process
- A well-ventilated, dry, and dark place
- Duration: 7–14 days, humidity 30–50%, temperature approx. 18 °C
Curing (hardening)
- Place dried flowers in airtight containers
- Ventilate several times a day for the first few days to allow excess moisture to escape.
- Reduce ventilation after 2 weeks
- Goal: To optimize potency, aroma, and shelf life
Practical tips & safety
- Wash hands before contact and handle plants gently.
- Do not expose cuttings to direct sunlight initially.
- Document the steps to ensure optimal yields
